GRAND CONCERT AT DJEUGA PALACE HOTEL 2009

The concert at Djeuga palace Hotel was the type that needs different reviews as opposed to this mild presentation. I want to attest that I lack the necessary descriptive adjectives.
The Djeuga Palace Hall had only 400 seats so we needed to add a few such that our high profile guests should have the necessary entertainment in an air conditioned hall.

This concert was staged to launch our recently released video CD, titled Eyum’Obhasi (The word of God). The CD comprises of 8 traditional tracks transcending through a variety of cultures in Cameroon, South Africa and Nigeria.

Mrs. Gladys Viban was the main MC of the night working together with Teddy Findi. She mentioned it clearly, working with Teddy makes work easy.

So many noble personalities were part of that occasion including
The Vice Chancellor and wife together with the DSA

Representative from the Ministry of Culture
Dr Monono Martin
Representative from the American Embassy
Honorable Awanga
Just to mention these few
The concert however started with a glamorous first part involving classical pieces, mainly Hymns and Anthems. Two pianos were played simultaneously, one for bass and the other for treble cleff facilitating the corresponding multiplicity of rare classic music effects.
Simon-Piere and Aloys are among the best Pianists in Central Africa
The concert was recorded life and the audio copies are pending release.
Two guest choirs were invited and they kept the hall entertained between the phases of this history making event.

While they sang, a guest made this phrase “The University of Y’de 1 choir is the UB Choir of Yaounde” what ever he meant
Vuma, the south African piece with Anwi Ruth as soloist was interpreted life as well as the Our Father.

My life time was led Jonas Mofa and Ruth. Then the lead of Kristiane Ekema in Noyana was impeccable.
A variety of Heaven breaking Hymns and Anthems were rendered on carefully filtered notes of Piano by the two famous pianists.
Two songs were conducted by former Heads of the UB Choir. For both songs, all three choirs sang together on stage.

“Let Us Break Their Bonds” conducted by Mola Singe
“The Hallelujah Chorus” conducted by Mola Marinus.
Most guests did not want to leave the hall at the end as requests were made.
The public was fully entertained and blessed and hopefully the goal of evangelizing through music was achieved.
See you in our next concert
